Handcrafted in Portugal using a specialised washing technique, Sherwood is part of our iconic Blake stitch ‘drum dyed’ collection. The drum dye process creates a rich depth of colour and softens the leather for additional comfort. Sherwood features a built-in ‘gel’ comfort footbed and is set on a leather outsole with a rubber insert for durability. Brogue detailing and speed hooks. Crafted in Portugal.

Care Guide

Waxy and tumbled leather

These leathers are chosen for the character they develop with wear. 

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth, then leave to dry naturally away from direct heat. Most surface marks can be worked out with a soft brush. Apply a neutral wax balm every month or two to nourish the leather and deepen its finish. 

Variations in creasing and shading are part of its natural appeal.

Vegetable-tanned leather.

Brush away dust with a horsehair brush, then apply a small amount of neutral cream polish when the leather begins to look dry

Buff to the level of shine you prefer. Avoid
prolonged soaking and direct heat; if the shoes become wet, allow them to dry naturally. 

With regular wear and occasional care, the leather will develop a patina unique to the pair.


Suede

 Brush gently after wear, working in the direction of the nap. Apply a suitable protector spray before the first outing and repeat as directed by the product manufacturer. 

Blot spills promptly rather than rubbing, then leave the suede to dry naturally. 

A little variation in texture is to beexpected as the material softens with age.
