Waxy and tumbled leather

These leathers are chosen for the character they develop with wear. 

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth, then leave to dry naturally away from direct heat. Most surface marks can be worked out with a soft brush. Apply a neutral wax balm every month or two to nourish the leather and deepen its finish. 

Variations in creasing and shading are part of its natural appeal.

Vegetable-tanned leather.

Brush away dust with a horsehair brush, then apply a small amount of neutral cream polish when the leather begins to look dry

Buff to the level of shine you prefer. Avoid
prolonged soaking and direct heat; if the shoes become wet, allow them to dry naturally. 

With regular wear and occasional care, the leather will develop a patina unique to the pair.

Suede

 Brush gently after wear, working in the direction of the nap. Apply a suitable protector spray before the first outing and repeat as directed by the product manufacturer. 

Blot spills promptly rather than rubbing, then leave the suede to dry naturally. 

A little variation in texture is to be expected as the material softens with age.
